✅ What role did I play on my team?
In my final year project "Smart Lab Networking with Azure and Dedicated Server", I independently took charge of the complete planning, setup, and deployment process. From designing the network architecture to physically connecting switches and configuring servers, every major component of the project was handled by me. I installed and configured Windows Server 2022, set up DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory, and ensured all clients received proper IP addressing and access control.
Although this was a team project, I worked mostly independently and took full ownership of the core technical tasks. I coordinated with my faculty advisor only for approval and updates. From resolving configuration issues to setting up the cloud integration via Azure Arc, I managed everything by researching, testing, and implementing solutions on my own — including using Microsoft documentation, community forums, and hands-on troubleshooting.
The result was a fully functional, secure, and smart lab network. The server was connected with Azure, enabling remote monitoring, automatic backup, and performance analytics. I resolved DHCP conflicts, fixed DNS resolution errors, configured firewall and agent settings, and successfully deployed a hybrid infrastructure. The project not only fulfilled all academic requirements but also stood out for its real-world applicability — all of which I achieved through my own dedication, learning, and hands-on practice.
